The Dome Bag Project

The Dome Bag Project
with People for Urban Progress  |  Product Design
People for Urban Progress helped to salvage 13 acres (nearly 90%) of fabric from the roof of the RCA/Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, IN. The Hoosier Dome was demolished, and without their efforts this fabric would have ended up in a landfill.

Working with People for Urban Progress, I designed and produced wallets, clutches, messenger bags, and more from this material. Proceeds from the sale of the products raised money to further re-purpose this material throughout the city. The Dome Bag Project won the Indiana Innovation Award and was featured in many local publications, such as the June 2009 issue of Indianapolis Monthly Magazine.
